Good Enough I Guess...

I like it enough, and it was once my go-to quick-shot camera. Its to Camera+ what my Lumix point-and-shoot is to my Leica DSLR. This version fixes a few bugs and seems a bit faster. But there’s still that one thing keeping it from being 5-star.

The screenshots say “one tap perfection” but in reality that one tap is done for you. TTT needs to allow turning the “Magic” off. There are times when the original unenhanced shot is actually better: in low-light situations with warm lighting or lots of browns and yellows for example (Magic made a shot of beef stew with plantains look unappetizing…in fact, it makes most food shots look garish). Seems like they opted to take that “On” button in the upper right off rather than make it actually do something.

An option for full-screen trigger would be neat, too. Development seems to have stopped though with some bug fixes last month and nothing for over a year before that. It’s no longer on my phone, but some folks might find it useful.
